Danae Danica (b.2000) is a visual artist and botany scientist with a degree in agriculture, based in Athens, Greece. She is working in the medium of photography, both with analogue and digital means of creating images, combining traditional and alternative methods.

Her work is defined by abstractness and deep textures, that together build a poetical visual anthology. Her artistic practice is rooted in a profound need for introspection. Through her photographs, she explores pathways leading to existential dread and awe, one's relationship with the unknown, nostalgia, folklore and sacredness. Her experimental approach of creation with alternative printing techniques enables her to capture the specific atmosphere of an inner, but tangible world.
